SG60 Gala Dinner

The Singapore Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong (SCCHK) successfully raised HK$136,089 at its 60th Anniversary Gala Dinner in support of the VIVA Foundation for Children with Cancer. The event's fundraising success was driven by a strategic partnership with the Fundraising Agency (TFA). A key innovation was the use of a sealed bid multiselling strategy for a premium "money-can't-buy" auction item (FIFA World Cup Final Tickets & NYC Getaway). This strategy alone increased profits by over HK$48,000 compared to a traditional single-item sale.

The seamless integration of the SmartRaise platform facilitated effortless bidding and donating, maintaining the event's celebratory atmosphere. The gala not only provided significant funds for a critical cause but also strengthened the Chamber's commitment to corporate social responsibility.

To mark the significant milestone of Singapore's 60th Anniversary, the SCCHK hosted a prestigious Gala Dinner. The event was designed not only to celebrate national pride but also to serve as a powerful force for good. The evening's fundraising efforts were dedicated to the VIVA Foundation for Children with Cancer, with all proceeds directed towards life-saving medical care, critical research, and emotional support programs for children and their families.

Leveraging the expertise of the Fundraising Agency (TFA), the Chamber utilized a comprehensive fundraising strategy. The SmartRaise fundraising platform provided a seamless digital hub for the event, while TFA's Event Success Services ensured professional execution through Dedicated Project Management and an Onsite Fundraising Manager.

A curated auction featured 10 exclusive silent auction items, nine sourced by the Chamber and one high-value "money-can't-buy" package—FIFA World Cup Final Tickets & a NYC 4-Night Getaway—sourced by TFA. A key strategic move was the implementation of a sealed bid multiselling strategy for this premium item, allowing it to be sold to multiple winning bidders. This, combined with a single compelling live auction item, created a dynamic and competitive bidding environment. The platform was expertly integrated into the evening, allowing guests to bid and donate effortlessly without disrupting the elegant and celebratory atmosphere.
